Charity Stow has released her new single Wake Up and it’s as haunting as it is beautifully poetic
Charity Stow is a favourite of Generation Indie. Creating compelling and captivating tracks that ease the mind and soul, the Nottingham export is back with her hauntingly brilliant third single Wake Up that’s bold, dark and powerful.
Switching the usual singer/songwriter set up of a commercial track, Charity Stow uses deep and powerful guitar melodies along with raw and uncompromising vocals that will send shivers down anybody’s spine. The sudden burst of energy within the latter half of the track adds another dimension and counteracts the stunning tension in the first half of the song. Wake Up is the perfect example of a cinematic track that feels like it’s been pulled straight out of a high profile drama such as Line Of Duty.
This intense new single was influenced by many artists including the likes of the legendary Bob Dylan, Florence + The Machine as well as The 1975. It’s clear to see that whilst this is only her third release, Charity has the potential to become a household name sometime in the near future.
