Heavy Salad release nostalgic new single ‘The Wish’ // Generation Indie

Heavy Salad

Manchester band Heavy Salad have just released their charismatic new single ‘The Wish’

Heavy Salad have dropped their new single The Wish ahead of their debut record Cult Casual which will be released on September 25th. The track is psychedelic but nostalgic and has elements of 90’s rock and pop with major guitar riffs and undeniably indie vocals.

The track is an audible version of the confident kid at roller disco who knew exactly what he was doing but was somehow still relatable. The sharp and precise guitar lines cut through nostalgic 90s vocals that are reminiscent of We The Kings, Think Check Yes Juliet but heavier and definitely more important. The song tackles how we live our lives confined to societies rules and turns the tables to investigate.

“The song seeks to turn the mirror on society and reconsider how we approach our lives”

Lee Mann

This is just the start for Heavy Salad, with a debut album on the way, radio play from the legendary Steve Lamacq and incredible talent this band are set to skyrocket.
